Lancashire Police has confirmed that a 30-year-old British-born man of Pakistani heritage has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 17-year-old girl was stabbed in the neck in Brierfield.
The force said that the girl’s injuries were not life-threatening.

EXCL @GBNEWS: Small boat migrant grooming gang child abuser Sharam Muhamadi is tonight on the run after he absconded during his trial at Sheffield Crown Court.
The Iranian was convicted today of facilitating the travel of Barnsley girls who were abused by an Iraqi migrant.
Muhamadi had been remanded in custody between charge and the beginning of the trial when his application for bail was granted.
We have been unable to report on him absconding from the trial over three weeks ago until today due to reporting restrictions.
