Okay. That “cool news” we had mentioned is now official!
It’s not our biggest success story all-time (yet) but it’s one we’re awfully proud of, and writer Laura Bensick deserves so much 👏 for her tenacity and willingness to pivot as a writer….
A timeline:
▶️ Laura Bensick’s “The Mother” awarded runner-up in the 2016 TV Writing competition. 📺
▶️ She sells a couple shows to Fox and a streamer over the last few years.🤩
▶️ Adapts her TV pilot of “The Mother” into a novel. 📖
▶️ We read the book this year (it’s phenomenal btw, as expected) and connect her with lit agents thru @BookPipeline a month ago. 🗣️
▶️ She signs with agent Melissa Edwards. @StonesongNYC @MelissaLaurenE 🌃
A totally easy process spanning a breezy…9 years.
Stick with the writers you believe in. Support where you can. 🦊 ✍️
Can’t wait to see where this extraordinary novel lands!
