Chief Exec at Hull City Council - likes Hull & classic cars. Used to run ports, now local government. All views my own. Use @hullccinfo for council enquiries.
Councillor Maria Coward has been installed today as the 113th Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull and Admiral of the Humber. Councillor Daren Hale was installed as Deputy Lord Mayor @Hullccnews
The @HullCity promotion celebration filling Queen Victoria Square to absolute capacity. Quite a sightโฆand quite a soundl
A big thank you also to our @Hullccnews Events Team, our staff and partners for the short notice work in making all the arrangements ๐๐
I was delighted to join our @Hullccnews Lord Mayor today, with many staff & partners, for the official opening of the Lil Bilocca House SEND Integrated Hub. The team have worked SO hard to deliver this exceptional facility for young people & their families in need of support ๐๐
Very sad to hear of the passing of Kris Kristofferson.
For those of us of a certain age, & with an interest in cars & road movies, there's something else we'll always remember him for. My brother & I watched it so much we wore out the VHS recording we had of 'Convoy' #RubberDuck
It wasn't just our street cleaning teams that were out early this morning.
Residents and volunteers were also out in force to show the true face of Hull โค๏ธ
Thank you to everyone for your incredible support ๐
The Amazing @Hullccnews Streetscene team got on with the clean up in Hull as soon as we had clearance from our colleagues at @Humberbeat.
The idiots who caused all this don't define us, our people & those who work to ensure everything gets back to normal do! #TeamHull ๐๐
Like so many, I've been appalled by the scenes we have witnessed in Hull and across the country. Those responsible don't speak for Hull.
I am heartened by so many who are equally appalled by what has happened. We need more tolerance and respect in our nation.
My comment below.
The @Hullccnews Council Chamber, all quiet now after last night's excitement. Congratulations to all those who were elected, commiserations to those who were not, & a HUGE thank you to the over 600 people who helped us deliver the 2024 election in Hull's three constituencies ๐๐
It's a lovely day to pop out and cast your vote!
Don't forget to take an acceptable form of ID...and if you have a dog, they'll enjoy the walk too! Tessie did!
How to vote: Photo ID you'll need - GOV.UK (gov.uk)
After a long couple of days running the @Hullccnews local & Hull area part of the @HumbersidePCC elections, it's time to say a HUGE thank you to all the council staff & individuals who have worked so hard to ensure they went smoothly. This note from a happy voter says it all ๐๐
A final meeting with the excellent @Hullccnews Elections Team before Thursday's #Hull City Council, and Humber Police & Crime Commissioner elections.
Every vote makes a difference &, if voting in person, don't forget to take accepted Voter ID #LocalElections2024#VoterID
