San Antonio Texans (1995)
Relocated from Sacramento, the team played only one season in the CFL. The Texans were the southernmost team to ever play in the league.
The team finished second in its Division in 1995 but lost in the Division Finals.

Memphis Mad Dogs (1995)
Originally called the Memphis Hound Dogs when the estate of Elvis Presley was involved, the name was changed when the estate backed out.
The team drew less than 10,000 fans a game and missed the playoffs in its only season.

Birmingham Barracudas (1995)
In the team's first home game, 31,000 fans came out to watch the team. Attendance started high, but by the end of the season an average of 9,000 fans were showing up. The team made the playoffs but lost in the Division Semi-Finals.

Shreveport Pirates (1994 - 1995)
The smallest US market to host a CFL team, the team had a loyal following among its fans. Despite the loyal support, the team was not successful on the field, missing the playoffs in both seasons. The team folded after the 1995 season.

Baltimore Stallions (1994 - 1995)
Easily the most successful of the American franchises in the CFL, the team featured four future Hall of Famers. In 1995, the team became the first, & only, American team to win the Grey Cup. Only months later, the team moved to Montreal.

Las Vegas Posse (1994)
Playing out of Sam Boyd Stadium, in the team's only CFL season, it finished sixth. In the team's penultimate home game, only 2,350 showed up, a record low in the CFL. The last "home" game for the team was played in Edmonton due to the team folding.

Sacramento Gold Miners (1993 - 1995)
It was the first American team in the CFL, the first American team to host a CFL game and the first American team to record a win in the CFL.
The team finished fifth in 1993 & 1994 and moved to San Antonio in 1995.
