If you are a high school senior right now without a Division 1 offer. Now is the time to understand that if you want to play college football you are going D2, NAIA, D3, or juco. Great educations received at those schools. Be grateful for the opportunity. Answer the phone!
2021 HS grads: No ACT/SAT score will be required for DI or DII initial eligibility.
Over the coming year, NCAA members will conduct a broad review of the continued use of ACT/SAT scores in NCAA initial eligibility standards.

...and college coaches will be talking almost exclusively with kids/players. It's Important recruits develop this skill in high school to prepare for recruiting and college.
Parents of High School aged athletes: if your son is old enough to drive a car, he is old enough to be the one communicating with the coach. They need to learn this skill and take responsibility. Parents: funnel your questions through the player.
Want some unwarranted advice on a Friday afternoon? If you're LUCKY enough to be recruited, you need to treat every coach who reaches out to you like they're the first one ever to do so. You never know how things will shake out.
