In a move completely opposed to the stated priorities of the #MAHA movement, @EPA just announced the re-approval of the dangerous, drift-prone pesticide dicamba to be sprayed on genetically engineered cotton and soybeans. centerforfoodsafety.org/pres…

Great video explaining an important new study linking #bird population declines to areas of intensive agriculture and #pesticide use. Take action today and tell EPA to regulate bird-killing pesticide coated seeds! nation.centerforfoodsafety.o…

Bird populations have been on the decline for decades. Are factory farms part of the problem?

We're suing the Fish and Wildlife Service for failing to protect the imperiled Iowa skipper #butterfly from imminent risk of extinction. The butterfly is threatened by the destruction of its habitat and the accompanying use of toxic pesticides on the monocultures that replace it.

A new analysis found #PFAS in waterways of 10 CA counties (largely from PFAS #pesticides), yet Trump wants to remove limits on PFAS in drinking water. While we fight PFAS pesticides in court, can you tell EPA to cancel PFAS ingredients in pesticides? nation.centerforfoodsafety.o…

Yesterday, @CFSTrueFood  and @ProtectOurShore were in federal court to protect Washington state's coast from industrial shellfish aquaculture. Shellfish operations span hundreds of acres of Washington's sensitive coastal habitat & have significant impacts on the environment.

This proposal is a huge step backwards. We need stronger protections against PFAS "forever chemicals" in our water and our food system, not a repeal of the scant protections already in place.
Breaking news: The EPA proposed repealing limits on four types of “forever chemicals” in drinking water. The proposal would end the Biden-era restrictions on four PFAS compounds and give utilities more time to comply with limits on two others. wapo.st/3PAD2lM

The @EPA is only putting cancer warnings on 1.4% of the pesticide products that have an ingredient designated as “probable” or “likely” to cause cancer. That's a grand total of 69 out of the 4,919 pesticide product labels.

More than 80 environmental groups including CFS are asking the Trump administration to reduce #nitrate pollution in lakes, rivers and groundwater. Nitrate exposure is a public health crisis linked to cancers, birth defects and other health harms.

The House just voted 224-200 to pass a deeply flawed Farm Bill Here is part of @foe_us statement: "While the Food Movement across the political spectrum scored a significant victory by getting the liability shields for pesticide companies removed, this bill remains a sweeping giveaway to corporate agribusiness at the expense of farmers, public health, and rural communities. American farmers are being squeezed from every direction, and this Farm Bill does nothing to ease that pressure. By gutting conservation programs and failing to invest in organic agriculture, Congress is missing a critical opportunity to help farmers break free from the costly chemical fertilizer and toxic pesticide treadmill. We need a Farm Bill that gives farmers real tools and real support – not one that weakens environmental and animal welfare protections, and further entrenches industrial agriculture. Congress must do better. The Senate must do better.”
