Classic nicknames #1 “The Butcher of Bilbao” Andoni Goikoetxea. The Athletic Bilbao centre-back became infamous for his crunching challenges on Maradona & Schuster in the 1980s.

Used to love it when Brazil entered the pitch like this...
FIFA confirm single-player walkouts won’t happen at the World Cup. They will instead debut what is being called a “fan-centric pre-match ceremony” intended to showcase squads not just starting XIs. As revealed, the walkouts remain non-traditional. All players will stand in the centre circle for the line-up reads and national anthems. There will also be creative new visual elements, including the use of hand-held flags.🏆

We always put one of our postcards in with each order, this month it’s been the Baggio “Il Divin Codino”. There’s a new postcard ready for April orders & we’ll try to do a new one each month, possibly reprinting a few old designs.

Whoever coined the phrase “less is more” clearly wasn’t around in the 70s/80s to see the enormous French shirt sponsors. Magnifique! 🇫🇷

Great to see Lens back and top of Ligue 1. Les Sang et Or (The Blood and Gold) are a cult club for us, with incredible support. Anyway, the Lens ‘80 sweatshirt is available from TheMagicSq.com store. #rclens #sangetor
