Personally I’m still in a little shock over Michael Madsen’s passing. I was a big fan of his. He was one of my favorite actors. He was brutally raw and authentic. Arguably too raw for most audiences…

To the point where anything less than the lowlife, grizzled, and raw characters he played in Tarantino movies didn’t fit him. His performances in Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs were amazing. He scared the hell out of most men. He was so good that you didn’t even know he was acting. He was just playing the darkest sides of himself on screen and he was phenomenal at it. He and Tom Sizemore were like that. They weren’t just playing deadbeat losers and lowlifes, they were expressing their own deadbeat loser and lowlife sides that they used in their acting craft to accurately portray their lesser qualities and the lesser qualities of men in general. They epitomized vice in man. And every man was able to relate to them more or less. Guys like Madsen were able to inspire by playing to every man’s lesser selves. He represented my inner demons on some level (like Gandolfini) and for that I’ll always remember him as an acting hero of mine. He was my violent side. My lowlife side. My deadbeat loser side. My “I know how to scare you,” side. And for that I’ll always miss him and his phenomenal acting performances. #michaelmadsen #acting #hollywood msn.com/en-us/health/medical…

I’d like to see that done. Or an Entourage reboot where Turtle becomes the rich one in the weed and rap game and on social media. One where Snoop makes a cameo. Whatever happened to the Ari Gold 'Entourage' spin off film? - Jeremy Pi... youtu.be/tLcg7bQEZgI?si=-VIU… via @YouTube

Everyone should watch 2025’s Something Beautiful visual album. It’s actually fantastic. And Miley had a hand in the directing process. She’s not just in full pop diva princess prime, she’s a Grammy winning artist…yahoo.com/entertainment/musi…

And that’s probably shocked some fans who aren’t used to thinking of her as one. Is it jealousy? Probably. Similar to how some of the public has still had a hard time accepting that Will Smith isn’t “The Fresh Prince” anymore. It’s like someone telling Will Smith “Hey Fresh Prince shut up and make me laugh. What’s up with all this Oscar winning actor bullshit. Stop experimenting with form and go record me another rap song with Jazzy Jeff.” It’s the same problem I’ve had trying to break into the film industry. They’re like “Aren’t you still that drug addled teen from the Bush Jr. era.” To which I scream in reply “GO TO HELL! That was when Blockbuster was still open! And before the iPhone, Obama-Biden, and my return and acceptance into SF State for Cinema and Media upper division. I was never a real junkie, that was the failed War on Drugs fault for making me look like one for my weed use! It’s called social engineering! That’s how the government wanted me to look!” And I have a factual point and society has progressed and changed and there’s been recessions and pandemics and administration changes but nobody on one side of the political aisle wants to accept that I made strides and grew/evolved as a human being. The same way some people will never accept that Miley has evolved. She’s no longer Hannah Montana, she’s a high-concept music artist capable of creating operatic works of art. Probably the ones with small fixed mindsets and myopic views that feel stuck in the 80’s and under Bush Jr. and want you stuck there with them. And sometimes they have a point (maybe she looked better with less tattoos?) but it always comes off sounding like “You can’t be more than how I remember you back then. That would make your life the better one and my life sad because I never changed from 20 years ago and it all went to shit.” But I digress. #mileycryus #music #artist

Glad to see Jovovich still acting. She’s an unmistakable screen talent/beauty that I’ve been in awe of ever since 5th Element. Just wish Anderson would step up his game instead of opting for cheap sexy action tropes and thrills. #MillaJovovich #moviereview forbes.com/sites/joshpearce/…

I’m sad that Farrell and Navarro don’t get along. They’re one of my favorite bands and hearing that they may be broken up indefinitely sucks. Maybe not their biggest fan but a fan nonetheless. I liken Farrell to Iggy Pop for better or worse. fb.watch/HzPmqW7rsn/?mibexti… #perryfarrell

W/ so many streaming services it’s hard to keep up. There’s arguably too much TV. Enough to give me brain rot were it not for the quality of programming. Some of TV at its finest has these days and I can’t get enough while having have had too much. #HBOMax hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-…

Enough to where I probably ruined my love life and relationships watching too much great television. Enough to liken myself to a junkie itching for my next injection of ‘must see TV.’ So I’ve been slowly catching up on House of the Dragon lately as I’ve been finishing watching Mandalorian after re-watching True Detective after finishing season 1 of Spider Noir. 🤣 #HouseOfTheDragon

You can still count me as a Shia Leboeuf fan. He’s actually one of my favorite actors of my generation. Did he become the ‘next Tom Hanks?’ Not exactly. But so what. He can still deliver a compelling performance given the right direction and material. wdsu.com/article/shia-labeou…
