This confirms just how long ML407 has been attended to by Richard Grace he is two years old here cleaning our family Spitfire at Fighter Meet at West Maling - now look at the film in my earlier tweet-puts it into perspective!

ML407 holding the fort - just! Though 3 to 1 was often the odds for Spitfire / ME109. Now imagine a day out - two mates - 1 in ML407 other in our 2 seat Buchon/ME109 flanked by a Spitfire V and a Buchon/ME109 four engines what a sound what a sight!

ML407 in full D-Day markings painted on with rollers and brushes as done 74 years ago for Johnnie Houlton DFC to fly his Spitfire on the Overlord (D-Day) battle where they shot down the first enemy aircraft on D-Day at Omaha Beach. We, with ML407 honour those who saved so many.

Today 29th April 74 years ago ML407 was delivered by Jackie Moggridge to Johnnie Houlton- here with ML407 ground crew Vic Strange and Ron White-history saved by Nick Grace then Carolyn Grace now Richard Grace. Emotive day.

Me entering a loop in 1994 not pulling too hard so I do not black out, due to G forces, but hard enough to fly a good loop in formation with camera ship which was being flown by the truly incredibly talented Pete Kynsey with John Dibbs on camera who did do a brill job!!
