Townhome Fire Under Control Firefighters responded to Mepkin Road shortly after 5:00 am for a reported structure fire. Crews arrived to the two-story, six unit building to find one townhome unit involved in fire and spreading to the adjacent units. CPD units were on scene assisting with evacuations and crews worked to contain the fire and search for occupants. The fire was brought under control with the primary fire damage limited to the first two units. Eight residents were displaced from the building. The occupant of one unit suffered burns to their hands and were treated on scene. Investigators from the Fire Marshal's Office responded and are reviewing the scene. #chsnews #charlestonfire
