500 deaths & many more long & frightening waits for ambulances, possibly with no mobility, food or water. It won't change soon but you could get there first. Ambulance services need your eyes on their patient, your mum, dad, friend, neighbour. Register: careandrespond.com/emergency…
ALT Image text says: "We are working with the NHS to make friends and family aware when someone has called 999 to avoid people waiting alone, and provide the ambulance service will valuable information to help them respond."
Great working with you folk!
Not just health passports. Use careandrespond.com to set up your family, friends and neighbours network and join theirs. You never know when you may need each other. Great to have @WelshAmbulance on the development team. #simplycareandrespond
The #mentalhealth impact of #COVID19 has been huge. The amount of people experiencing depression has more than doubled in some countries compared to before the #COVID19 pandemic. Time to act.

Nice one @NamaraNorman
"Just because we have dementia doesn’t mean we can't hear or understand all that goes on around us."
An important message for everyone, and especially in places like hospitals. Small things can make a huge difference.

Use CHAI apps to help your organisation to routinely assess, monitor and support the mental health of your staff/volunteers and patients/clients. Use CHAI stats to understand training & support needs and put #MentalHealth front & centre. Vulnerable people don't ask for help.
@CHAI_Community is also built on a multilingual platform (available in Cymraeg/Welsh shortly). Your team can switch between languages. This applies to NHS and Social Services connecting in. Let us know if you need other languages for your staff, volunteers, carers or family.
These films will be available in both @CHAI_LongCovid (for people who can use tech) and @CHAI_Community (for people needing help with tech) very shortly.
If you support people who are digitally excluded, or who can’t self report #LongCovid or other chronic conditions to their GP, then the same service mentioned here is in @CHAI_Community. We think many people are suffering in silence at home.

Together with the @WelshGovernment, we're proudly supporting and funding @CHAI_LongCovid@HywelDdaHB from the @waleshack!
📱Their web-based app helps local health services & patients manage #longcovid by reporting symptoms and by signposting them to the latest best practice.
This was fundamental in the design of our app. Both NHS AND community support services for #LongCovid are signposted to the user based on their reported symptoms and location.
This service is included in @CHAI_Community for volunteer groups, friends, family and carers who are helping vulnerable or digitally excluded people. Also help with any chronic conditions, malnutrition, loneliness or even shopping.

Use the app so we can tell your local NHS how many people in your area have #LongCovid. Link your symptoms diary with anyone (GP, clinic, best friend). Participating NHS services send you local advice based on your symptoms and postcode

Serious roundtable discussion yesterday regarding the negative impacts of the pandemic on older people of which there are several.
Older people have born the brunt of the devastating effects of the disease itself but there are many other aspects.
