For our domestic skills demo this week, we will be highlighting the mechanics of hearth cooking. We will be hard boiling and then frying up eggs for scotch eggs, and baking cornbread. The demo will take place at 1 p.m. on April 18 in the brick kitchen at Historic Brattonsville.

The Come See Me Festival kicks off tonight in Rock Hill with the parade and it's going to be quite warm. We'll still be well into the 80s by 6:30 pm but then things start to cool off once the sun sets just before 8 pm.
