Year round single sport specialization benefits the adults who can make money off of it at the expense of the child’s development.

But all of these "high level" teams are now requiring year round participation, or the cost of playing the sport is too high to do anything else. At the same time, rec leagues are dying
I do completely agree with you tho, I see it daily. Those generalist are healthier and better
