I was honored to join @DCIARatcliffe in remembering the brave men and women of @CIA who gave everything for our country at last Friday's Memorial Ceremony. We will be forever grateful for their heroism, patriotism, and sacrifice.

The Committee acted in bad faith by subpoenaing an Agency officer for testimony today without notifying CIA, despite having already obtained closed-door testimony from the individual previously. The witness testifying today is not appearing as a whistleblower in pursuit of the truth, but instead in response to the subpoena issued by Chairman Paul. This proceeding amounts to nothing more than dishonest political theater masquerading as a congressional hearing. As the CIA has already assessed, COVID-19 most likely originated from a lab leak, and efforts to undermine that conclusion are disingenuous.

This is false and salacious reporting that serves as nothing more than a PR campaign for the cartels and puts American lives at risk.

Fifteen years ago today (1 May 2011), U.S. Navy SEALs raided a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan and killed Usama Bin Laden. The raid marked the end of a more than 15-year effort by partners across the Intelligence Community to find Bin Ladin. Learn more: cia.gov/stories/story/minute…

The Obama and Biden administrations mixed intelligence analysis and politics far too often. I commend Director Ratcliffe for correcting the record and ensuring that the CIA’s analysis is free of any political bias.
