City Power has implemented Stage 2 load shedding as per directives of Eskom. This is due to the loss of generating capacity at Kelvin substation. We'll update customers and residents of @CityofJoburgZA about blocks affected.^BP

City Power receives about 90 % of its electricity from Eskom, with 10% coming Kelvin Power Station east of Joburg.
The extra capacity City Power has comes from various sources which include ripple relays, load limiting through smart meters, &Kelvin Power station.
