Just to be clear: Even though I'm frustrated over Darryn Peterson's reported antics... he's still absolutely, unequivocally the best option for the Jazz at #2 and the only circumstance in which I would be ok with him not being on the Jazz is if Washington takes him first.

I've been a big-time believer in Acuff for a while. If Jazz had stayed at 5 in the lottery, it would've been an absolute no-brainer
Sources also confirm @KendrickPerkins report that the Jazz had Darius Acuff in for a workout recently and he was very impressive. Those sources cautioned, however, that the Jazz are likely zeroed in on Dybantsa, Boozer or Peterson with the No. 2 pick

Centers in the NBA are like running backs in the NFL. While an important part of a winning team, it’s hard to field a winning team when a substantial portion of payroll is committed to the position long term. With the exception of the top 2 or 3 in the league, the gap between a good one and a serviceable one is actually quite small. I love Kessler. But if this is true, his agency is filling his mind with Dennis Schroder levels of delusion.
Walker Kessler has reportedly rejected a five-year, nearly $140 million offer from the Jazz, and his camp is seeking significantly more 😳, per @BannedMacMahon (h/t @davidjsmith1232 )

The fact of the matter is if the Jazz were REALLY that blown away... we'd never hear about it. I know this is a completely different front office than the one that drafted Donovan Mitchell, but I feel like the same level of scrutiny to avoid leaks would be enacted.
The Utah Jazz were “blown away” by Darius Acuff Jr.’s individual workout, per @KendrickPerkins

A Dallas-based “reporter” for something called DallasHoopsJournal .com is clearly the dude who would have reliable insights into how a kid from a suburban town in Ohio who went to high school in California and attended college in Kansas feels about playing basketball in Utah.
Darryn Peterson’s camp wants to land at No. 1 with Washington or No. 3 with Memphis, and avoid Utah at No. 2, per @GrantAfseth

Ok, so this is Charlie Sheen so better than 50-50 chance he’s lying about everything in this story But it’s hilarious that he would say “running back from BYU” of all things if he is lying But if it’s true… wonder who it was. BYU was not exactly known for RBs in the 80s 😅

Charlie Sheen says he took steroids for 6 weeks and added 10 MPH to his fastball for Major League “It was David Ward who directed it and wrote it. He won the Oscar for The Sting when he was like 22. Really smart, funny, good dude, and a huge baseball fan” “I had one meeting with him and he was like, ‘Well, you pitched in high school’” “I said, ‘Yeah. You can film me in a full windup. That I guarantee. But I can't throw 98 or 100 mph or I'd be doing it for a living. I can probably get you somewhere in the mid 80s’” “So I did a bunch of steroids because I was only throwing like 76 mph at the time. I had this trainer, a guy who was a running back at BYU, and he knew a guy that could get steroids. It literally put 10 mph on my fastball in six weeks”

If there’s any truth to the rumors that Darryn Peterson doesn’t want to go to Utah (I’m not convinced) then he’d be a real dummy. You’d play with an up-and-coming future star at PG, established all-stars at SF and PF, a DPOY candidate at C. Plus a deep bench 😮‍💨 Not to mention one of the best FO and ownership in sports, a young dynamic coach and the best scenery in the country? Come on, now. Anybody who wouldn’t want to be here is stuck on the outdated narratives, not the reality of basketball in Utah. Missing out on this is nothing short of career self-sabotage

I said this once with my hacked account, but it bears repeating today: If AJ Dybantsa ends up on the Jazz out of BYU, and if he lives up to his maximum potential playing on the Jazz, he’ll be the most popular person in the state of Utah Like, he’d be elected governor if he ran!

No matter what happens on draft night, just remember: A few people will be right about a couple of things Most people will be wrong about most things Everybody will be wrong about SOMETHING. This includes anonymous yahoos on Twitter and seven-figure NBA GMs. Being wrong about the draft is no respecter of persons. It’s all a crapshoot. So overreactions, hot takes, and “I’ll die on this hill” guy all have valid points this week The NBA Draft is without a doubt the most fun non-game/match sporting event of the year!

Couple things: Just because Peterson's camp feels like they crushed the Wizards workout doesn't necessarily mean Dybantsa didn't also crush his workout. Plus interviews and medicals are a factor, too. If Washington goes DP, the Dybantsa vs Boozer debate will be FASCINATING
Latest on the NBA Draft: After last week's workout with the @WashWizards, sources told @kslsports that Darryn Peterson and his camp are very confident he's going to be the No. 1 overall pick, leading to canceling his workout with the @utahjazz. sports.ksl.com/?p=574863

If we just hadn’t gone and won the lottery we wouldn’t be in this mess 😏😏
I could see the Jazz moving down a lil bit and take Darius Acuff! Heard is the Jazz were Blown away by his individual workout

Brandon Flowers, Post Malone, Ty Burrell, Katherine Heigl, Dan Reynolds, John Cleese, Dwanye Wade, Derek Hough, Julianne Hough, Benson Boone, David Archuleta, Steve Young, Puka Nacua (Laker fan, but would support Jazz), Jason Bateman, Chrissy Teigan, the Osmonds
Now I have to ask… Who would be on the Utah Jazz celebrity row if we made it to the Finals? 😭 (H/T: @SleeperChicago)

Seeing USA soccer manhandle a smaller country like Paraguay in soccer, and the history nerd in me is like: "Paraguay ambitiously (bafflingly) taking on an opponent much larger than itself, and getting just decimated?... Couldn't be the first time!" 😬 #WarOfTheTripleAlliance
