What's crazy is how much more effective Tulsky has been at identifying talent with upside in RBA's system than Waddell was. Basically all of Tulsky's acquisitions have become better players than they were previously, whereas Waddell's got worse after ending up on Carolina 🧵🧵🧵
Players traded for or signed by Hurricanes GM Eric Tulsky in his first two seasons: Nikolaj Ehlers K’Andre Miller Taylor Hall Logan Stankoven Brandon Bussi Sean Walker Shayne Gostisbehere Mark Jankowski William Carrier Eric Robinson Mike Reilly Nic Deslauriers

We'll send them to you. Might take a few days, though. A little busy.

Lots of complaints about this one, so I'll re-organize.
A look at the traits of the best player from each of the last eight NBA championship teams - all different types of players with different strengths and weaknesses, acquired in different ways.

No need to relitigate anything about hockey analytics. But I'd be remiss to not acknowledge how cool it is so many people I found writing and reading hobbyist blogs ... still friends 20Y later ... these guys won a Stanley Cup. Thrilled for Carolina. But mostly the nerds.

Jordan Staal is the lowest scoring forward in Conn Smythe history on era-adjusted points per game (0.67) Among D, only Scott Stevens (0.54) and Scott Niedermayer (0.56) were lower.

The majority of the hockey media worked overtime to mock the Hurricanes for the whole Rantanen ordeal as proof of their unseriousness in the moment, meanwhile it paid dividends immediately and aged even better
I don't know what Carolina would look like if Rantanen had signed there (Still really good!) but that entire sequence still ended up being massive. Stankoven is a dawg. Hall has legit Conn Smythe case. Got a first-round pick that helped get Miller. Still have another first

Just one more thing NY thinks it's theirs that actually belongs to NJ. Add it to Statue of Liberty, Frank Sinatra, etc.

Won't they review that obvious flagrant after the game? Like, Wemby's gonna be gone for G6, no?

Hmmm nvm idk now. This angle isn't nearly as incriminating as the one on the broadcast. They could get out of this I think.

Okay, so we've got a better angle. The refs are going to consider this an unnatural body turn and landing with feet split, so that's why the held off on the landing space foul.

Why is Dylan Harper not starting for the Spurs. How consistently does he need to outplay the other guards before they realize he's their best one.

If there's ANY MARKET he should be gone I like Jake. I love his attitude and his fight and how he elevates in the postseason but he is too expensive and doesn't have the fastball anymore and can't be trusted to start 50 games
Per sources, although a deal isn’t imminent , I’m told the @NJDevils are gauging market interest from clubs on G Markstrom . #HockeyX
