Happy Wednesday, @GCRTA! Here is a smartcard experience to share with the Customer Experience folks & maybe the digital comms team. Step 2 of the instructions at riderta.com/fares/farecappin… says to add money using credit/debit cards or cash at participating Vanilla Direct locations:
According to "Pro Tip #6" on the website at riderta.com/fares/farecappin…, the minimum that can be added is $2, but an attempted load of $2 resulted in another error on the POS terminal. This time the cashier advised that the minimum reload amount is $5.
Given that the website says that money can be added using credit cards, debit cards, and cash at Vanilla Direct locations, and that the minimum cash load is $2, is there a problem with the Vanilla Reload network/Circle K, or is the information on the website inaccurate?
🚧 Rider's Alert 🚧
The #83 will be rerouted on Thursday, June 4 for a street closure on Warren Rd near the First Federal Savings & Loan building from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm.
Please use the @transitapp for real-time updates.

Happy Memorial Day! We're operating under Sunday/Holiday service today.
The following services are closed:
- Main Office Building
- ADA Office
- Paratransit Scheduling
- Tower City Customer Service
- Community Connection Line
The idea that the only way to improve transit is by "building more transit" is probably one of the most harmful beliefs among the general public

In Atlanta’s case, part of why the service isn’t growing much is that the City decided to devote all of its own transit funding source to transit infrastructure instead of transit service. 4/
