Day 25, 3D geometry and factoring, was a retelling of a beautiful problem from the 2003 Math Kangaroo contest, grade 7-8. (It was another tough one, but you can try factors and find the answer with ease, or draw a picture!) x.com/CMKContest/status/1607…

Day 25 (final day) of #mathadvent: 42 sugar cubes packed in one box, Its bottom's length width is 9 sugar-cube-sides. Measured in sugar cubes, please work out the box's sugar-cube height? Merry Christmas to all who mark it! Find more math puzzles at mathkangaroo.ca/samples/en

🎄🔔Hark how the bells 🔔🎄 Sweet silver bells All seem to say Throw cares away Happy #ChristmasEve to all who celebrate!

There’s loads of connections between maths and bellringing 🤓 Instead of tunes, ringers memorise sequences of changes - permutations where each bell can only swap with the one immediately before or after. In the video above, 11 bells move with the 12th always ringing last.
