Saying that a woman would be expected to simply hand over a now more likely winnable seat on a platter is insinuating theyâre crumb maidens. And it wouldnât be in the best interests of the party/democracy.

Itâs great to see prominent Liberals coming out in support of increasing our female representation in Parliament. I look forward to Mr Abbott providing endorsements, support and influence in favour of women in the many preselections still to come.

The Greens take the moral high ground when it suits their agenda but in this case, have chosen to use women as fodder for their political gains. Electing Liberal women helps improve our Partyâs gender representation in parliament. Itâs not rocket science. Disgraceful.
