CMP released on 21 Nov. 2023 its new video “The Faces of CMP” in which employees share their experiences working in the CMP project to exhume, identify and return the remains of missing persons in Cyprus. The CMP is co-funded by the EU.

On 28 July 2023, the leaders of the GC and TC communities, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides and Mr. Ersin Tatar made a joint visit to the Anthropological Laboratory of the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus. The CMP missing persons’ project is co-funded by the European Union.

The Members of CMP held meetings with Ministers of Parliament Mr. Bambos Charalambous, and Ms. Theresa Villiers. The Members also met with a bi-communal association of Cypriots with a call for potential witnesses to come forward with information in support of CMP’s investigation.

The CMP Anthropological Laboratory is located in the United Nations Protected Area and was established in August 2006. That is where the Anthropological Analyses that will lead to the identification of the missing take place.
