Crews continue work to full contain and extinguish this fire. A fuel break created weeks ago made a huge difference in early containment! Weed Abatement and Defensible Space help firefighters when they need it most to protect our communities.

Earlier today, crews returned to the #SomersvilleFire site to ensure the fire remains fully extinguished. Thanks to the swift work by @ContraCostaFire & CAL FIRE this past Wednesday, no homes were lost.

Today at 1:27 pm, Con Fire crews responded to a house fire in the 200 block of Longview Court in Antioch. The fire appeared to start outside the home but quickly spread to the attic.

This specialized apparatus is purposely assigned to this station for this very reason. This vehicle is used when access is difficult or impossible for our normal 4-wheel drive vehicles in areas such as Mt. Diablo.

Con Fire firefighters from Station 11, utilizing an all-terrain utility vehicle (UTV), rescued and transported an injured hiker off a Mt. Diablo trail. The injured hiker was transported to a local area hospital.
