Started my morning visiting @EISDofSA Roy Cisneros Leadership School for their Veterans Day Ceremony! 🇺🇸
Thank you for the opportunity to remind everyone about the sacrifices District 5 Veterans have made for our community, an appropriate message as Election Day is almost here!
Thrilled to join San Antonio Ready to Work partner @ProjectQUESTInc in announcing the findings of their 14-year study.
This study followed participants and found the transformative effects of sustained, evidence-based workforce programs in helping low-income individuals achieve lasting economic stability.
SAWS is investigating/cataloging lead in customer-owned water service lines (the piping that connects a home/business to the public water system) as part of a new program required by the @EPA. Homes built before 1989 can have water service lines that are made of lead material. We need your help to complete San Antonio’s water service line inventory. If your property is listed as “unknown,” SAWS would like to partner with you to determine the material. You may qualify for a free service line inspection by SAWS. Visit saws.org/lead to look up your address and for more info. #ProjectLead
As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, I can't think of a better way to celebrate by highlighting our work with @SomosMACRI!
Today we visited the new Jovita Idar Memorial Way along with Idar's family members.
Today at the Planning Community Development Committee, we discussed my proposal on a cost recovery model for the City’s Dangerous Assessment Response Team. Excited to see how this approach will impact our relocation fund 👏🏼
What an amazing Dieciséis de Septiembre neighborhood parade to celebrate our deep cultural connection with Mexico! 🇲🇽
We had a great time cruising through our historic westside neighborhood, and loved all of the colorful floats, low riders, and most importantly our people!
Today we pay tribute to those who lost their lives and those who lost their loved ones on this tragic day.
We also reflect on the sacrifices made by our emergency first responders.
Honoring those we lost on 9/11 🇺🇸
