Hummingbirds fly backwards by flipping their wings in a figure-8 pattern. They rotate their shoulders to generate lift on both the upstroke and downstroke. This lets them hover, zip around, and even fly backwards! That's some super specialized anatomy biology!

Yes! Each arm has a large cluster of neurons called a ganglion. That's the "mini brain". All 8 arms combined have about 350 million neurons - so roughy 2/3 of an octopus's neurons are in its arms, not its head. Basically, an octopus is like 9 brains working together.
