It’s a simple message because it’s a simple way to help keep you and your family safe. When you change your clocks today, take an extra few minutes to change your smoke alarm batteries! And, as always, replace your alarm altogether if it’s expired. ^ma nfpa.org/Public-Education/St…

When seconds matter, a working smoke alarm is the gift of time in the event of a fire. Test alarms monthly and replace at least once a year and whenever low battery warning sounds. #HolidaySafety #FireSafety #12DaysofHolidayFireSafety

Fires caused by holiday decorations and open flames from candles are all too common. Battery-powered candles are a great alternative but if you must use, keep candles away from pets and children, place candle in a sturdy container and always blow out when you leave the room. ^ma
