Maria Saucedo taught English as a Second Language at Pickard Elementary School, dedicating her life to helping students succeed. Now, Saucedo Scholastic Academy is located in Little Village and serves nearly 1,000 elementary school students each year. #HispanicHeritageMonth

Yet again, our Compassion Fund supporters delivered generously, preparing @ChiPubSchools students to get #Back2School prepared to thrive. Thanks to you, over 11,800 students started the year with brand new backpacks loaded with essential supplies. #TheBestAreWithCPS

Today, @ChiPubSchools and the city of Chicago announced the creation of the Chicago Families Forward Fund to support CPS students and families experiencing housing insecurity. All Students in Temporary Living Situations (STLS) will be given a one-time $500 microgrant.
