Opening the session on "AI for Everyone: Navigating Technology, Society and Ethics," Dr. Srinivas Bhogle, Honorary Scientist, CSIR-4PI, set the tone for an engaging discussion on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in shaping our future.
Reflecting on the rapid pace of change, he remarked that three years ago, many of the interactions and possibilities enabled by AI today would have seemed unimaginable. From the way we communicate and collaborate to how we explore, discover, and create knowledge, AI is fundamentally redefining human experiences.
Highlighting one of AI’s most powerful capabilities—the ability to uncover patterns, connections, and relationships hidden within vast amounts of data—he emphasized that AI is not merely a tool for automation. Instead, it serves as an amplifier of human potential, enabling us to think deeper, explore further, and transform imagination into feasible solutions.
As AI increasingly becomes a part of everyday life, Dr. Bhogle underscored the importance of fostering balanced conversations around innovation, ethics, societal impact, and responsible adoption. The session invited participants to reflect not only on what AI can do, but also on how it can be harnessed to create a more inclusive, informed, and innovative future.
