Emphasizing the institute's commitment to taking innovations from field to market, Dr. Parvatam noted that CSIR-CFTRI has successfully transferred numerous technologies to industry, helping create commercially viable products and enterprises. He highlighted the critical role of food preservation technologies in extending shelf life, reducing spoilage, and minimizing post-harvest losses, which still account for nearly 10–15% losses across the food value chain.
