To give a sense of scale, this proposed private mega spa on the waterfront at Ontario Place is the size of 12 football fields, and is accompanied by a massive, public parking garage. There is no way to put a ā€˜green’ spin on a waterfront destination spa of this scale. There is no planning rationale that can justify subsidizing an outsized parking structure on prime waterfront land where children should be playing instead - especially given that we are investing billions to deliver a new subway to this locatIon. Sometimes it is better to start over than to proceed with a mistake that will last for generations. It’s time for politicians to say no. It’s time for planners to say no. #OntarioPlaceForAll theglobeandmail.com/arts/art…
