This #WorldNTDDay, we reaffirm our commitment to tackling Neglected Tropical Diseases, including snakebite envenoming, which continues to impact vulnerable communities. To #EndTheNeglect, we must empower communities, invest in local solutions & ensure access to treatment.
Snakebite is a Neglected Tropical Disease. Each year, there are 1.8m – 2.7m cases of snakebite envenoming and 81,000 – 138,000 deaths. These could be easily prevented and treated.
This #WorldNTDDay, we reaffirm our commitment to tackling snakebite envenoming. #UniteActEliminate

Happy Chinese New Year! This year is particularly special because it's #YearOfTheSnake.
People born in the year of the snake are considered intelligent and tenacious, two personality traits shared by our researchers.
May 2025 bring us all health, happiness and success! 🐍
