Working-class, transit-dependent bus and subway riders who keep our city running deserve affordable transit.
Nobody knows that better than the workers @32bjseiu, who have joined @1199SEIU, @rwdsustronger, @transportworker more in calling on Mayor Mamdani to expand Fair Fares and cut transit costs for millions of workers!
Together, these unions represent hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers from home health aides to airport workers, many of whom face massive affordability challenges and would greatly benefit from expanding Fair Fares’ income threshold to reach more low-wage workers.
