ALT A Prayer for the new Pope
Almighty God,
shepherd and guardian of all,
We pray for your servant Pope Leo.
Grant him grace to follow in the footsteps
of the Good Shepherd,
to preach the Gospel with boldness,
to build up your people in unity and peace,
and to serve them with humility and love;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Today, we remember and honour those men and women who died in active service during the Second World War, bringing Victory in Europe. 🙏
Join us in prayer as we reflect on their courage and cherish their memory. ✨
ALT A PRAYER FOR THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF VE DAY
O God of truth and justice,
we hold before you those men and women
who have died in active service,
particularly in the Second World War,
whose sacrifice brought Victory in Europe.
As we honour their courage
and cherish their memory,
may we put our faith in your future;
for you are the source of life and hope,
now and for ever.
Amen.
Remember - Year 10 have their last Founder's Day service at Bolton Parish Church tomorrow. Please arrive in full uniform (including ties) at 10:50. We look forward to worshipping together and celebrating the gift of education ⛪️
Well Done to Year 10 who have completed their mocks during the last fortnight. This was their first experience of formal exams and they picked up routines very quickly, we're really proud of their hard work and effort. 🎒🏫🧑🎓
ALT A PRAYER FOR ST GEORGE’S DAY
God of hosts,
who so kindled the flame of love
in the heart of your servant George
that he bore witness to the risen Lord
by his life and by his death:
give us the same faith and power of love
that we who rejoice in his triumphs
may come to share with him
the fullness of the resurrection;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
Our condolences on the death of His Holiness, Pope Francis. A faithful servant of God and an example of humility and service to others for our students to be inspired by. Rest in peace🕯️
ALT A prayer for Pope Francis, on a black background with graphics of a cross and a candle.
Father in heaven, we praise your name
for all who have finished
this life loving and trusting you,
for the example of their lives,
the life and grace you gave them
and the peace in which they rest.
We praise you today for your servant Francis
and for all that you did through him.
Meet us in our sadness
and fill our hearts with praise and thanksgiving,
for the sake of our risen Lord, Jesus Christ.
What a busy but incredible term for Year 10! They have shown so much determination and care for others throughout their lessons, extra curricular activities and in our charity appeal for International Aid Trust. We are so proud of them 💚
