While some people think communication is just posting photos and adding logos, the Ministry's specialized training for communicators across its departments, SAGAs, and parastatals highlighted a much bigger responsibility,
The training focused on strengthening storytelling, digital engagement, media relations, crisis communication, and strategic public outreach to ensure government achievements, opportunities, and services reach the right audiences at the right time.
The message was clear: good policies change lives, but good communication ensures people know about them, benefit from them, and trust the institutions delivering them.
BARINGO JOINS TEA-PLANTING COUNTIES, BECOMES KENYA'S 23RD TEA-GROWING COUNTY
Baringo County has officially joined Kenya's tea-growing regions, becoming the 23rd tea-producing county following the launch of tea cultivation at Torongo Area in Eldama Ravine Constituency yesterday.
The initiative is expected to expand Kenya's tea production footprint while empowering farmers in the region to tap into one of the country's leading export crops.
The launch underscores the government's commitment to promoting high-value crops and strengthening livelihoods through sustainable agricultural development
The KSh 5 billion County Livestock Investment Company initiative will transform the livestock sector into a thriving commercial enterprise, opening new markets for our livestock and livestock products while creating greater value across the entire value chain.
For years, government communication has suffered from a serious condition called "We posted it, therefore everyone saw it." Unfortunately, the diagnosis has never been accurate.
Because if we don't tell our story well, someone on social media with a blurry photo, no facts, and unlimited confidence will tell it for us.
As the programme reminds us: "We own our voice, or someone else will. This training is how we take it back."
