In an Age of AI, Computer Science is More Important Than Ever! Today, TeachAI and @csteachersorg released "Guidance on the Future of Computer Science Education in an Age of AI" to address a series of questions, starting with: ❓ Why is it Still Important for Students to Learn to Program? ❓ How Are Computer Science Educators Teaching With and About AI? ❓ How Can Students Become Critical Consumers and Responsible Creators of AI? The guidance includes a teacher survey and demonstrates a community leaning into AI literacy. It provides an example other disciplines can follow. More briefs to come! Thank you to everyone who contributed to this project! TeachAI is led by @codeorg, @ETSInsights, @ISTEofficial, @khanacademy, and @wef.
