"Computer science is like being the mechanic and being able to fix the car." - There's a difference (and some overlap) between computer literacy (using computers efficiently and effectively) and computer science (the study of computers and their processes). #WednesdayWebinar
Let's Get the Official on That Computer Literacy: "Computer literacy" is broadly defined as one's knowledge of and ability to use computers and related technologies efficiently and effectively. More specifically, computer literacy includes knowing what constitutes a computer, the uses and applications for computers, and the impact of computers on society. Computer Science: Computer science is the study of computers and algorithmic processes, including their principles, their hardware and software designs, their applications, and their impact on society. "Computer science" does not include the study of everyday uses of computers and computer applications, such as keyboarding or accessing the internet.
