โฌ THIS IS NOT JUST A BUILDING TO UKRAINIANS
Lord...
Russian troops struck the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The fire destroyed the Cathedral of the Assumption, one of Ukraine's main spiritual shrines.
And afterward, they still dare call themselves "Orthodox" and cloak themselves in faith. In fact, they are barbarians who bring only death, ruin, and ashes. They destroy temples like Tsunichno while destroying cities, destinies, and people's lives.
When shrines burn, not only the stones burn. The history, the memory, and the soul of the people burn. And for each of these crimes, they will have to answer. Without forgiveness. Without forgetting.
The image emerging from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra are heartbreaking.
For Ukrainians, the Lavra is not simply a church complex or a tourist attraction. It is one of the oldest and most sacred sites in the nation, a spiritual center whose history stretches back nearly a thousand years to the days of Kyivan Rus.
Long before Moscow existed as a major power, monks prayed within these walls. Generations of Ukrainians were baptized, married, buried, and inspired by the faith and traditions preserved here. Its cathedrals, caves, icons, and relics form part of the cultural and religious foundation of Ukraine itself.
The Lavra has survived Mongol invasions, imperial rule, world wars, Soviet persecution, and centuries of upheaval.
It is a symbol of continuity.
A symbol of endurance.
A symbol of Ukraine.
That is why the damage seen tonight resonates so deeply. This is not simply damage to stone and brick. It is damage to a place that carries the memory of generations.
As missiles and drones once again strike Kyiv, Ukrainians are not only defending their territory. They are defending their history, their culture, their faith, and the places that connect them to a thousand years of survival.
The Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra has stood for centuries.
And like Ukraine itself, it will endure.
