Did you know? If people under 40 voted at the same rate as people over 65, Congress would look a LOT different! In 2022, just 35% of people under 40 voted vs 72% of older voters. 🗳️ Let’s change that! Your vote matters. Elections matter. #Vote2024 youtu.be/NfJW_7rwDEM?si=1YqK…

Rennie makes a good point in today's column: “None of this addresses the primary source of emissions: transportation. Without plentiful…electricity generated at reasonable cost, rational CT residents will not make the transition that matters: to electric vehicles.”

Why didn't @CT include climate action innovation to the Innovation Clusters initiative? B/c it's not impt to state gov? This program is only for "physical spaces" for next gen technologies. Where? No razing forests and fields for a construction boondoggle.bit.ly/3wSLbcf

The world's largest single-site solar farm is officially live. The Al Dhafra solar farm contains almost 4 million solar panels. It's expected to power 200,000 homes and eliminate more than 2.4 million tonnes of CO2 per year. We have the solutions. Implement them. #ActOnClimate

We in the US can take heed too:
Where have all the trees gone?🌳❌ This street, like many others in the UK is suffering from the side-effects of off-street parking🚗. There is almost nowhere a tree can now be planted. The impacts are many: a loss of visual amenity, no shade, suffers worse in heavy rain, negative impact on wellbeing, loss of natural habitat, cars drive faster, more anti-social behaviour and lower house prices. We could go on... We need a rethink.
