I am deeply grateful that the assisted suicide bill has been rejected at Stage 3 in the Scottish Parliament today.
Our focus must now turn to strengthening palliative care…… ensuring people receive compassionate, high-quality support so they can live with dignity until their natural death. No one should ever feel that death is their only option.
Thank you to the MSPs who stood against this bill and upheld legal protections for the most vulnerable, especially when individuals cannot always protect themselves.
