Throwing rocks at, shoving, and harassing Jewish students is not legitimate protest. We shared this video a year ago during the encampment to show what Jewish students were experiencing. Since then, the calls for violence have only grown more explicit.

Wait, Darializa Chevalier cofounded CUAD? The group that considers itself part of the same resistance as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis? city-journal.org/article/ins…
NEW from me Darializa Avila Chevalier — a DSA congressional candidate in a tight house race — praised and raised money for a convicted terrorist responsible for a supermarket bombing that killed two students. Chevalier also co-founded a group, Columbia University Apartheid Divest, that has recently called for "Death to America". freebeacon.com/elections/soc…

Some fact checking needed here: 1. It was not a "pro-Palestinian rally" on Oct. 8, 2023. It was explicitly in support of the Oct. 7th attacks and the murder of attendees of the Nova Festival. Video in comment. 2. The "kidnapping" and tensions that Darializa refers to in 2014 was the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers. However, deaths of Israelis are not something that Darializa deems worthy of mentioning.
During a #NY1Debate, congressional candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier explained why she attended a pro-Palestinian rally on Oct. 8, 2023, a day after the October 7 attack on Israel. “I was there at that rally on October 8th because I remembered what happened in 2014, and I knew that the reaction would be an outsized reaction that would cause the death of thousands upon thousands of people,” she said.

Speech from the Oct. 8, 2023 rally that Darializa attended: "Until the resistance came in electrified hang gliders and took [out] at least several dozen hipsters". This was not a "pro-Palestinian rally". It was openly cheering on Oct. 7th. x.com/83beals/status/2067060…

Maybe if @DarializaforNY was working instead of “organizing” on @Columbia’s campus during protests in 2023-24, she could afford rent. Celebrating the kidnapping of babies isn’t very lucrative… Note the green armband indicating she was a “security marshal” and organizer. She graduated from Columbia in 2016. There was no reason for her to be there, much less leading protests.
I am the daughter of Dominican immigrants. I am a New Yorker. And like so many in our district, I am a renter who has had to wonder whether I can afford to stay in the city that I love. I’m running for Congress because New Yorkers deserve a fighter standing up for us in Washington — and on June 23, that’s exactly what we will deliver.

We can't just sweep things under the rug. Darializa has taken very extreme positions as reflected in her comments on social media not too long ago. She is unfit for office and voters are smart enough to see that. #NY13Debate

🧵 Five students brought a lawsuit against Columbia and Barnard after they were punished for participating in the 2025 Butler Library protest. Barnard and Columbia’s lawyers found two AI-generated hallucinations in one of their court filings: “As for the second case Petitioners rely on, ‘Matter of McCormack v. LaHood, 85 A.D.3d 1070, 1071 (2d Dep't 2011),’ the reporter citation is to a case of a different name that has no relevance whatsoever, and after a diligent search, Barnard is unable to locate any case with this name.” “Again, one of the cases Petitioners cited, ‘Matter of Ortiz v. Coughlin, 86 A.D.2d 660, 661 (2d Dep't 1982),’ does not appear to exist-the citation goes to the middle of another case of a different name with no relevance here, and after a diligent search, the only three cases with these names in the caption are completely irrelevant.”

Interesting. When Jewish students complained about intimidation on campus, many of these same politicians found nuance, context, and procedural hurdles. For Mahmoud Khalil, they found a pen.

Anti-Zionist Columbia faculty are seeking a share of the $21M settlement meant for Jewish, Zionist & Israeli @Columbia employees harassed after Oct. 7. Former faculty member Amy Werman, who retired from @ColumbiaSSW because of antisemitism, shared her perspective: “My focus is on the members of the Columbia community who were harmed for supporting Israel and standing up to antisemitism on campus. I trust that the @USEEOC will be able to distinguish the merits of those deserving of compensation amongst all claimants.” Thank you to @TheAENetwork and @_FAAM for your ongoing advocacy. jns.org/news/u-s-news/anti-z…

On Nov. 15, 2023 some of us stood near a protest @Columbia holding posters of babies and elderly who were still in Gaza. Turns out that an outsider that came over to shush us is NY13 candidate @DarializaforNY. We didn’t know who she was but were shocked by her behavior.

We were proud to celebrate our Jewish heritage together at a beautiful event hosted by the @Columbia Jewish Employee Resource Group on Haven Plaza at @ColumbiaMed . Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, especially the incredible students from @frischschool We were disheartened that some colleagues chose that moment to protest. The students’ resounding response said it all: Am Yisrael Chai. We joined in their singing to show that we are Jewish, Zionist, and proud, and we’re not going anywhere.
