Juniors from CVCC’s Health Careers, Dental Assisting, and Fire & EMS Academy programs learned from the Cleveland Clinic Mobile Stroke Team during a hands-on visit with the Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit (MSTU). Students explored the signs and symptoms of strokes, the importance of fast treatment, and even practiced removing a clot from a simulated vein. They also learned how the MSTU brings advanced stroke care directly to patients using on-board technology and a specialized medical team.
