They have been associated with the restaurant since it was transformed into a dining establishment in 1941. It was originally built as the Spindrift Inn in 1916. It has a rich history, including the installation of bulletproof windows after strong waves smashed the original ones, and it has undergone significant renovations to withstand flooding and storm damage over the years. It specializes in fine American cuisine and seasonal dishes, including a renowned lobster bisque and featuring fresh, seasonal seafood and signature dishes. It is a bit pricey but you are paying for the fine dining and the experience. I’m amazed it has survived literally on the Pacific Coast all these years.
