It was great to participate in #ObjetivoPlaneta with @lorenzomila to advocate for the protection of Cabliers' reefs. A key move for 🇪🇸 would be to protect the portion of the reef within its waters, showing its commitment to 🇲🇦 & 🇩🇿.

Oceana is calling to create a Fisheries Restricted Area in Cabliers, a seamount in the Alboran Sea that harbours semi-pristine cold-water corals.
@UN_FAO_GFCM agreed to ban bottom fishing in November 2023, and @ICMCSIC is now researching the area.
