Had a chance to ask @ImKeithDavid what his advice for me was in regards to pursuing voice over work. His response: "Nurture your own uniqueness" A short exchange, much appreciated.

Gonna focus less on streaming moving forward. Focusing on long form instead

I've been itching to get back into the content game for a while now. Life has been one brick wall after another for the past 8 months, but I'm so close to the next chapter, and I couldn't be more excited about it.

A reminder for those laughing at this: people with families lost jobs in attempting to bring a creative vision to the world, hoping that players would love it. Everything is worthy of criticism to varying degrees, but it's sad to see people be happy when livelihoods are impacted

#FalloutSeason1 walked so that #FalloutSeason2 could run. Easily the BEST video game adaptation we've ever received in live action. Looking forward to future seasons

I'm still very new into the world of game design, but the comments on this video seem off to me. It's not clear to me that "more content" is the answer to making the game enjoyable for you again. I think people dramatically underestimate how much this update will shake up combat
Hardlight, explained. Quickly. Learn fast.

I really try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but Alex Pretti was not an immediate threat to anyone's life. That ICE agent was SO far out of line its not even funny

Scratch that. This entire "Tales of Ba Sing Se" episode in The Witcher is truly awful. Pacing, tonal shifting, line to line dialogue, it's so terrible. How did anyone look at this episode and think that THIS is what people wanted from the show?

Jaskiers entire song was good. It was also entirely and from start to finish, out of place. The Witcjer is NOT a musical. It was a show that happened to have a couple of memorable in-world songs. Such tone deaf decisions

This trash is why I removed X from my phone (and will do so again after posting this) People prop up intense opinions because they have a DESPERATE need to be emotionally engaged Intense words = spent emotional energy = 0 energy for meaningful pursuit = life with little purpose

Ricci gets asked if Battlefield is going to die since BO7 just came out: “100%… Battlefield is gonna be dead and there’s gonna be no comp.. Battledads enjoy no comp on that sh*tty game.. real men go to a game that takes skill.” 🗣️

Maybe this is just a phrasing thing for me, but "wanting to see it be more right" is kinda odd in my opinion. I'd prefer a centrist experience. Both sides have meaningful things to contribute to the industry as a whole. Unfortunately, I think tribalism tends to hamper this.
On this edition of Ask Marty Anything, I break my rule and take on a compound question as I answer whether it is possible for another game to change the industry like Halo did and why so many in the entertainment industry lean left.

$1000 isn't THAT far off what a decent entry level PC would go for $350 for a GPU $250 for a CPU $100 for a Motherboard $50 for 16GB of RAM $50 for the power supply $50 for a fan/heat sync $50 for a case = $900 And that would be a pretty low end build.
Exactly. The entire point of Steam Machine is to standardize ENTRY-level PC gaming at a reasonable level of performance! Idk if some techtubers have become entirely out of touch with their free 5090s and 6-figure incomes, but "entry" is not $1000 lol. polygon.com/steam-machine-sp…

Everything about this season of The Witcher feels like it's screaming "Look at us! We're a high fantasy show!" As if it's desperate to convince me of what it's trying to be. In turn, it makes everything feel entirely unconvincing

In the last year, I've lost 130 lbs. In the last month, I was laid off, have been job searching, started a game design course, and have felt the financial pressure of it all. I've gained 18 lbs in that time. We fall to learn to pick ourselves up. Hard ≠ impossible.

In an age where so many feel as if AI is replacing everything and everyone, the human component of connection and relationship has NEVER been more important. Developing interpersonal skills is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

When life throws me for a spin like it has for the last month, one of my favorite day to day comforts is to re-listen through audiobooks/productions that I enjoyed as a child The Chronicles of Narnia and the BBC production of The Lord of the Rings ALWAYS make me feel warm inside

Taking on my first real project management role in my Game Design course. Organizing, delegating, and leading a small team. Excited to learn, grow, and see what I can build. Any tips or resources from those who’ve been there before?
