Poilievre is right!! The new Enbridge gas pipeline is excellent, but far too long to approve. This one was simple. What we need is an oil pipeline to the Pacific. The world needs us now, let’s fill the demand and drive up the Canadian economy. @liberal_party @CPC_HQ

The world is running out of jet fuel. Who has jet fuel? Canada, of course, but no way to move it and sell it. Opportunity missed because we cannot sell what the world wants!! Who is in charge here? @CBCTheNational @GlobalNational @CTV

Is anyone else getting a flurry of LinkedIn connection requests. I have decided to ignore and delete them because it feels wrong. Three or four a day??

As @CanadaPost moves to utilize more community mail boxes for mail delivery, perhaps they should also review all locations for mail boxes for posting mail. Boxes located inconveniently on busy streets or away from parking do not encourage people to mail more things.

What’s the general opinion about Avi Lewis as Federal NDP leader. Is this the end of the NDP as a viable federal party?

Thank goodness every Province in Canada has easy access to oil and gas energy because Canada is self sufficient…….oh wait, there’s no pipeline to Quebec or the Maritimes. WOW, that’s just crazy!!

The U.S. war in Iran may be good for Alberta’s budget, but when I saw $1.42/litre on a service station tonight, I was sure happy that my car has a 4 cylinder engine!!

Watching the price of oil reminds me of a long ago economics class when the instructor said “Excess profit breeds ruinous competition.” The market is not your friend or your enemy, the market just is!

Prime Minister Carney and Premier Smith must now put on their best sales hats and tour the country visiting every Rotary Club, every Community Group and town halls to sell and explain the MOU. The country is in an economic war and this is one of our best and strongest solutions.

A friend recently returned from China and said that it feels like we are living in the Dark Ages. High speed trains, amazing electric cars, bridges and infrastructure. We argue over building a critical pipeline. Ridiculous!!

Calgary Transit; There was a bus stalled on 4th Street SW this morning and just saw a line of four busses under the Stampede Trail underpass. Can’t recall this happening in past years? What’s up and where are the graders and snow plows. Who has seen a plow?

Here’s a couple of questions for the universe: (1) Is Canada Post operating, can we mail things? (2) Why is TELUS about the only company in the world that doesn’t provide a phone number?

Calgary, the leaves, the wind, all remind me of “The Night Before Christmas” and the words: “As dry leaves before the wild hurricane fly; When they meet with an obstacle, leap to the sky.”

This morning when I voted there was a line up and a young lady asked me if I wanted to sit down!! All of my illusions that I still look 50 were destroyed in three seconds……

Calgary Civic Election; This morning seems to indicate that Sharp, Gondek and Farkas are tied in a dead heat. For Calgary’s benefit, Davison and Thiessen should withdraw and give their support to another. The Mayor’s position should be more than 23% of eligible voters.

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS are doing what ten Premiers and one Prime Minister cannot do….today, we are all Canadians; we are all Blue Jays fans and yes, we all love Toronto. Easy big fellow, don’t overdo it!

We spend so much time trying to be relevant and memorable. Here’s a question…..what is the first name of your grandfather’s father?

Help me understand? The Post Office is losing millions while scrambling to remain relevant. Workers go on strike thus driving people to find alternatives to mail! Are Union leaders not thinking straight? This does not make sense….

Just learned about the passing of Crosbie Cotton (74). This is a loss for Calgary and Alberta. My sympathies go out to his family. Really got to know Crosbie during the ‘88 Olympics but spoke to him often since then. He loved mountains, the Herald and life. Makes me sad.
