A few days ago, I was having a conversation with someone about how we are going to properly position ourselves this year in Web3.
He spent hours talking about how he intends to go about it and the plans he has already constructed for it.
But...... For me, they didn't sound sustainable. It was mostly about "how I'm going to get this or get that", while there was little or no comment on what should be given to receive it. I know you might be thinking, "What do you mean Steph?"
"Why would I need to give before I can get?" Hear me out!!!!
It depends on how everyone sees it.
To not bore you all with long talks, I'm just going to try to put this in the simplest way I can.
I believe the best way to build a sustainable, profitable system is to prioritize the value you are giving more than the profit you are looking to get. And be so lost in delivering quality even when there is no profit involved. You can see it as a form of future investment.
"Why?? But we are only here to make money?"
Yup, won't dispute that fact, but....
The value you give out when you are genuinely interested in making a positive impact. And the value you give solely to make money isn't the same.
One is people-centric while the other is profit-centric.
Why does it matter?
Never forget that people are the ones to consume what you are giving out and people equal profit. Always think from the perspective of a consumer.
Look at the value you are giving out today, is it something you would want? If the answer is no, then stop giving out low-budget value, whether in the form of a product, Content, etc.
Because you definitely won't find me there. I don't take in junk. (Shots fired with my full chest ๐).
We already have lots of junk out there, stop giving what you can't take in yourself.
Start giving out YOU, your heart, and sincerity. The Value should have a touch of you. That is what gives birth to trust and authenticity.
And that is when the profit starts coming in, because you know the value of the seed you are planting.
This is a Financial Advice ๐
