British people will spend £4 on a meal deal every single working day, never cook, never calculate the annual total and then wonder why they can’t save.

The public dislike inheritance tax - strongly. But if I was creating a priority list of taxes to cut, IHT would be towards the bottom.
Good tax policy should raise revenue & avoid suppressing economic growth. Compared to other taxes, IHT does this.
