Caltrans removed an encampment on June 9th located on State Route 41 just south of Olive Avenue in Fresno. During their work, Caltrans crews collected 4 cubic yards of debris. Affected individuals were offered services by our outreach partners.

FRESNO: The northbound State Route 99 offramp at Fresno Street is closed due to a pedestrian involved collision. No ETO at this time; delays are to be expected.

FRESNO COUNTY: Southbound State Route 99 onramp at Chestnut Avenue closed to recover a semi-truck down the embankment. Motorists should plan accordingly; ETO is 1:30pm.
FRESNO COUNTY: The southbound Interstate 5 offramp to State Route 33/145 will be closed today from 8:30am to 4:00pm for paving operations. Motorists are advised to plan accordingly.
California's Move Over Law requires drivers to change lanes or slow down when approaching stationary emergency vehicles, tow trucks, or road maintenance vehicles with flashing lights.
In 2026 this law was expanded to include any stalled vehicle on the side of the road.
FRESNO COUNTY — The Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in cooperation with Pave Tech Inc., announces the State Route 180 Rumble Strip Project in Fresno County to begin Thursday, June 25th, 2026.
This project will install rumble strip along State Route 180 in Fresno County between just east of Blythe Avenue and just east of Goldenrod Avenue, and Modoc Avenue and Belmont Avenue.
The rumble strips will be installed along the shoulder and centerline throughout the project limits and are designed to alert distracted drivers and prevent roadway departures.
KERN COUNTY: Eastbound State Route 58 scheduled to be closed this Wednesday pavement grinding and paving operations between State Route 43 and Stoner Drive. Motorists should plan accordingly.
COALINGA —The Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in cooperation with Cal Valley Construction, announces the following schedule update in part of the State Route 33 Pavement Rehabilitation Project in the City of Coalinga.
• Intersections of Elm Avenue (State Route 33) will remain open at:
o Cambridge Avenue, Walnut Avenue, Cherry Lane, Truman Street, 3rd Street, and 5th Street
o The traffic signal lights at these intersections will be placed on flashing red to facilitate traffic flow.
• Signed temporary detours will be in place to facilitate crossings at the open intersections to safely navigate around the work zones.
Closures may continue for longer periods of time, if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur.
KERN COUNTY: Southbound Interstate 5 currently blocked at State Route 58 due to multi-vehicle collision. Southbound traffic is being diverted off at State Route 58. No ETO at this time.
