Caltrans clears encampments of all sizes throughout the year. This clean-up was in Garden Grove along the SR-22 near Magnolia St. 40 cubic yards of trash & debris was cleared away, which could fill 16 full-sized pick-up trucks! #CalSTA @CAgovernor

Was this an illegal dumping or an unsecured load that came loose? Either way, such littering makes our roads less clean and less safe for. Report them as you see them to 9-1-1. Caltrans crews removed this mess along CA-57 at the CA-22 exit in Orange. 💙🚮 #CleanCA @CAgovernor

Boxes of toilet paper spilled onto I-5 in San Clemente today, shutting down multiple lanes. Thankfully, our crews quickly got on scene to get this “wiped” up. Big thank you to our hardworking crews and our partners at @CHPCapistrano for helping keep motorists safe!

Caltrans encounters encampments of various sizes on our State Right-of-Way and clears them with help from our local partners. This clean up took place along I-5 at El Toro Rd in Lake Forest. 20 cubic yards of trash & debris were cleared away.

Caltrans aims to reduce encampments on our State Right‑of‑Way through collaboration with our social service partners. See a clean up in La Palma by SR-91 & Walker St that cleared 20 cubic yards of trash & debris. That would fill 8 full-sized pick-up trucks!

Cal OES Director Caroline Thomas Jacobs provides an update on the coordinated whole-of-government response to the Orange County chemical incident. While the risk of a catastrophic explosion has passed, the threat of a smaller explosion or chemical leak remains. Cal OES remains closely engaged with local partners to support the ongoing response and reminds those still impacted by evacuation orders to listen to local authorities.
