Amidst the rubbish of 2020, I was lucky enough to get to know this amazing family and their foundation. I'm hoping to donate more of their bleed kits in my local communities in 2021, and help spread their very important message far and wide. ❤️

The strength of this family and their foundation is amazing, their work could literally save your life one day! ❤️ @TheDanielBaird1 @hollybaird_x @ControlTheBleed @CityPolice @WMPolice @OFFICIALWMAS

Currently in hospital and since being here I've overheard two Muslim women discussing various symptoms ranging from water infections, deficiencies in their blood like iron, dizziness and sickness , other things too...all the discussions seem to be homing in on fasting and lack of water during Ramadan. Doctor says it's a common thing. Whatever your views are on religion, considering it's usually the mum that's running round sorting everything out and looking after the family every day, not just during Ramadan...at least make sure it doesn't make you so ill that you can't look after yourself or kids. 🫤 #Ramadan

Now a bloke being spoken to about the same thing....says he's hardly drank any water whilst fasting too....when does common sense kick in during long periods of fasting? 🫤

Just stopped to help an elderly man who came off his bike and face planted on a gritty road. Cuts to head, cheek, nose and jaw. Used the decent first aid kit I'd put in my daughter's car, but still found I needed a lot more wipes and bandages. Just a reminder to get a good first aid kit, adapt it if necessary to include more useful gear, and get the training to use it. 👍 Also, he had a bike helmet on, sort of which got smashed off when he hit his face/head on the road...it saved his life for sure. Don't scrimp on safety gear. 👍 I'll be adding a bleed kit to my daughter's car in the near future for heavier bleeds.

It's a sign of the times when I'm having a nice meal out with my partner and grandkids, and instead of enjoying ourselves, we're sat there discussing our action plan in case the man who we've just heard is roaming the streets outside with a knife comes inside the pub. 🫤 Our pub has a bleed kit from @TheDanielBaird1 , and I have my own one that's on me 24/7..but I'd rather not have to use it with my grandkids around! 😔

Yes thanks Lynne ❤️, the police were out looking for him but I don't think they found him. Certainly makes you think of your surroundings more, escape routes, hiding places for my girlfriend and the kids, what you'd use to fight with etc. Again, sad that that even has to be a thought. 🫤

My writing desk whilst I'm visiting the grandkids 😁 It's not quite a beautiful antique writing desk, but it'll do for now 🙂 @letterappsoc

Just bought these to hide in the bottom of any bags I take on the train, too many 🤬 these days to be able to leave them unattended .

Admission time 🫤. I've struggled badly recently with my letter writing, I'm very judgemental about my own letters, whether it's the content, the spelling and grammar, the art, the length...it's all contributed towards me sending less letters than usual. Then I remembered this quote about music, I was first told about it years ago when I said I was scared stiff of playing guitar in front of people in case I messed up. I figured the same could be applied letter writing...so w could say "To judge your letter writing skills is insignificant...to let this stop you from writing handwritten letters is inexcusable!". 🙂 I've never once been disappointed to receive a handwritten letter from anyone, they are never judged, I never sit there criticizing anything, judging the quality or lack of quality of its contents or materials used....I'm just happy to receive something someone took the effort to sit down, write and then walk to a post box to send. So I'll shut up and get on with letter writing and not think about it so much. ❤️💌 @letterappsoc

Start the day as you mean to go on...send someone a letter, long or short, fun or serious, flirty or romantic, plain or arty....they WILL appreciate it. @letterappsoc ❤️

New shelves up for my daughter's art stuff...and a nice new place for my banjo 🙂 It's been hidden away behind my bookcase for years, now it's out as a reminder I need to keep learning it....along with the piano...violin...guitar. 🙄

Thought of the day. We all learn to write at school from day one. We all do art at school from day one. Imagine if we were taught to write letters to people, and encouraged to make them look lovely. I learnt basic letter writing at school, but there was no beauty in the envelope, nothing that would make me enjoy receiving it. Whether you're as talented as @thelonningsguy here, or you just do your best with a kid-like doodle..., your effort WILL be some appreciated at the other end, and build relationships that often last a lifetime across the miles. I think it's so sad that we start off learning the skills, then drift away to screens as we get older. @letterappsoc
I handwrite letters. I usually illustrate them, and sometimes I doodle on the envelopes. And I sometimes do it when I've taken too much medication 😉
