Rayan’s father, Bahaa Abu al-Ajeen:
“A direct shot to his head, by a sniper. The bullet exited and passed through. It came out of his other eye, the left. My son in my arms, bleeding, struggling, about to die. They executed him.
He came after me and shot me too, in my leg. My son still had life in him. I begged him: save the boy, save the boy! I grabbed the phone, telling him: Ambulance! I'm calling an ambulance. But he took the phone from me, he said: don't call an ambulance, don't call anyone. He took the phone.
And the boy stayed in my arms, dying. I kept telling him: save the boy, forget about me, save the boy, I don't matter, my leg is gone, it doesn't matter, God will make up for it, just save the boy.”

Israel killed both of these children today.
Left: Rayan Abu al-Ajeen, 3 years old
Rayan was shot in the head and killed while his father, Bahaa, carried him. Bahaa was also shot in the leg. IOF forces then abducted both into their “controlled” area and left Bahaa bleeding. Seven hours later, they returned them to their families. Bahaa was immediately rushed to the hospital and is still in unstable condition.
Right: Mousa Al-Habil, 6 years old
Mousa and his father, Mohammed, were killed while collecting water on their rooftop amid Gaza’s desperate water shortage. Others were also injured in the same strike. Mohammed was an emergency room nurse at al-Shifa Hospital.
