QBO Help for reluctant convert: Are there basic COA templates available in QBO like there was in QBD? They weren't perfect, but they were a good starting poitnt. I know this is a basic question, but for once Google has failed me. #taxtwitter #caastwitter

Finally renewing Ultratax for 2024 and I had to decline automatic renewal for next year. When you do that it asks why. So this is what I said: "There is a significant chance I will be on a different platform. Thanks for being evil."

Hey #taxtwitter, have any of you successfully handed off your inbox to someone else to manage? I'm getting VERY overwhelmed, and I'm thinking it would be helpful to have someone keeping track of items that need my attention and items that could be handled by staff.

Anyone on #taxtwitter have tax workpaper software that they just love? We are using Adobe, but we are just using it to highlight and make notes, no real "tax" options the editing features.

Frustrated with Ultratax again... decided to spam my account rep: I'll respond when TR gives us a product that actually works when we need it. Again, sitting here waiting on the software to respond. Why I keep giving you guys so much of my money is an absolute mystery to me.

If one more tax client says..."No one called to tell me to bring my stuff in..." I'm going scream.

Is it possible that @intuit is just evil enough to push everyone to QBO so that they could more easily get their hands on the daily accounting? Not that easy if they were on QBD. #askingforafriend #taxtwitter

Dear #taxtwitter, as we complete the 2023 filing season and look ahead to 2024, just remember, Intuit's STARTING price for entity returns is $1,749 for federal and $64 for the first state. So if you feel inclined to do so, raise those prices!

It hurts my soul to have the company I pay so much money to for accounting software, creating national advertising campaigns that treat tax professionals this way. Time to learn #xero or #freshbooks

Took 2 weeks off. Didn't work during those 2 weeks. Office didn't burn down. Clients didn't leave en masse. Staff handled issues that came up. I came back relaxed. Amazing how that works.

Just landed in Athens, Greece, after a 9-day cruise with VERY limited email access. Waiting for my hotel room to be ready and answering emails. I haven't been in the office since 8/13 and won't return until 9/5! I'm refreshed and ready to finish up 2024! #taxtwitter
